  3. I learned that every member especially the new converts need WW.BPF (Worship, Witnessing, Bible Study, Prayer, Fellowship) because it helps them grow and mature in faith. I also learned the 2 kinds of Bible Study – Inductive (GBS) and Deductive (TBS). This is both interesting but different in the way you study and present. In Inductive Study, you will just select a passage, story or chapter in the Bible that you will study and dig through using – Observation (answering the questions Who, What, Where, When), Interpretation (what does it mean – before), & Application (How do I respond – now). While in Deductive Bible Study you will begin with choosing a specific topic and gather bible texts related to it.
Either way is okay as long as you really study it well and could direct yourself or your listeners to a deeper relationship with God. 

"...inductive and deductive study go hand in hand. Inductive study supplies the analytical Bible knowledge and understanding necessary to deductively build Bible doctrine, and deductive study researches and builds doctrine which informs inductive study concerning the wider doctrinal context of Scripture which then enables inductive study thereby to draw out even more meaning from the text.
The weakness of inductive study is its limitations in building doctrine, and the weakness of deductive study is its susceptibility to being infected with dogma.
The abuse of inductive study comes when theory is turned into dogma, and the abuse of deductive study comes when dogma is mixed with doctrine.” (excerpt from: https://contrast2.wordpress.com/2012/03/07/inductive-vs-deductive-bible-study/)

  4. I learned more about the 2 approaches in teaching, the deductive and inductive Bible study. i know how to differentiate the 2 but yesterday, i learned how to use them especially the inductive Bible study. I also learned the 3 Components of Inductive Bible Study, Observation (answers the what, who, when, where, & why in the story), Interpretation (the meaning of the story during the time it was written), Application (how it is applicable at present). It is an effective means of Bible Study for the new converts (as use in the Growth Bible Study). we also discussed the needs of new converts in order to grow, ww.bpf.org, but the most important of these needs is the Bible study which is the basic need of a new convert.

The Deductive Approach is more effective in teaching, preaching, and giving lectures.

  5. What I Learned Today
    1. I learned the needs of a convert: Bible Study, Prayer, Fellowship, Worship, Witnessing (ww.bpf.org). As a missionary, I should bear this in mind that these are the spiritual “felt needs” of our converts. In these I should focus if I am planning for nurturing. Acts 2:42, 46; 4:31-32.
Bible study – repeated doctrinal instruction
Prayer – personal devotional life of prayer
    Fellowship – social fellowship
    Worship – corporate worship
Witnessing – sharing the life and faith

    2. Deductive and Inductive Bible study. I learned these terms, “deductive and inductive” in teaching in schools. I usually preferred inductive teaching. In Bible study, it’s another way of using these terms. I found out how the Inductive Bible study is outlined: pick a passage, make observations on the text, interpret the observations, and apply the interpretations to daily life. It’s exciting to learn more about those familiar passage! It’s good for my devotional time, in leading devotional with the missionaries, and in making sermon outline of Bible passages.
