Learning Experience

I have learned from Lesson 2 that What and How to Teach is very important in an effective and efficient lecture. There should be enough knowledge on what should be the content of the lecture and it requires more reading. It is also important to know how to teach the lesson for faster learning and comprehension of the participants. I learned the Rule of 7, that the learners can absorbed only up to seven points in one sitting, that if it is more than seven points he might not remember the rest. The lecturer needs to give a 5-minute break in between the sessions.  I also learned the Rule of 30, that the learners’ attention span is only 15-30 minutes. More than this they will not pay attention to what the teacher is saying. The lecturer must observe his audiences if they are listening. If not, he needs to catch their attention. Use stories that are relevant to the topic. Emphasize on the important points that needs to be learned for them to remember it.
